Ambasador Nagma M Mallick hosted a grand reception at the Embassy of India in Warsaw to celebrate the 74th Republic Day of India on 26th January. Polish dignitaries and senior officials, Ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of Polish civil society including academicians, think tank members & media, and prominent members of the Indian community attended.
The event began with a detailed and colourful presentation by Ambassador, on a large screen, of India’s achievements in different sectors in 75 years of Independence. She then gave an overview of the many events, activities and meetings held in the year 2022 related to the India-Poland bilateral partnership, beginning with the Operation Ganga in February-March last year. She also outlined the myriad engagements that India will host in our ongoing G-20 Presidency.
Ragini Nagar, Kathak dancer, began the cultural show with ‘Utsav’, a special choreography for the occasion. Shamla Kalbelia Sapera and group then presented ‘Bhavai’ and ‘Kalbelia’ dances to an enthralled audience.
The guests were also appreciative of the Indian buffet that was then served.
